Kabarak University invites applications from interested and suitable qualified candidates to fill the following vacant positions in the University. TEACHING POSITIONS IN THE SCHOOL OF PHARMACY

We are looking for Lecturers/ Senior Lecturers (registered by Pharmacy & Poisons Board) in the following areas:

  1. Pharmaceutical Chemistry
  2. Pharmaceutics

Senior Lecturer – 1/8/18/1

For appointment into this position, applicants will be required to have a PhD degree or its academic equivalent in the relevant field with at least three (3) years of teaching experience in the position of a lecturer at University level and continued research as evidenced by at least three (3) publications in refereed journals

Lecturer – Ref. 1/8/18/2

For appointment into this position, applicants should:

  1. Hold a PhD Degree or its academic equivalent in the relevant field
  2. Hold a Masters Degree in the relevant field with at least three (3) years of University teaching as an Assistant Lecturer and continued research as evidenced by at least two (2) publications in refereed journals(s) in the relevant area.

 

ADMINISTRATIVE POSITIONS IN KABARAK UNIVERSITY ENTERPRISES LTD:

We are inviting applications for the following positions:

Human Resource Officer- KABUE 5- Ref. 1/7/18/3

For appointment into this position, applicants should:

  • Hold Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or relevant field.
  • Member of Institute of Human Resource Management
  • 3 years’ experience in middle level management
  • Must have excellent computer skills including the ability to operate spreadsheets and word processing programs at a highly efficient level.
  • Effective spoken and written communication skills including the ability to prepare reports, proposals ,policies and procedures
  • Good interpersonal skills and analytical skills

Janitor- Ref. 1/8/18/4

For appointment into this position, applicants should have the following specification:

  • Must have Diploma in Social Studies from a recognized institution.
  • Must have a minimum of KCSE with a mean grade of C-
  • Must be mature Christian and of good morals
  • Must be 30 years and above
  • Applicants with certificate in accommodation /housekeeping from a recognized institution will have an added advantage.
  • Must have experience from hospitality industry or another institution of higher learning or college
  • People with counseling skills or training as fire marshals shall have an added advantage
  • NYS graduates have an added advantage
  • A person with any artisan skill will have an added advantage

REMUNERATION AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Appointments to the above positions will be on permanent and pensionable for teaching positions following a satisfactory probation period of six (6) months. Appointments to the above administrative position will be on three year contact. A competitive compensation package will be offered to successful candidates. In addition to teaching and academic management, successful candidates for the teaching positions would be expected to drive research, consultancy and outreach. They are also expected to provide inspired and innovatory subject leadership and mentorship to students.
