  2. Must have at least five (5) years experience in Administration of Student Affairs.

Reporting to the Dean of Students

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating all students’ welfare activities such as meetings, clubs, associations, recreation and community outreach programmes in Main Campus and Nakuru Town Campus.
  • Coordination and supervision of student’s council management.
  • Management of students’ discipline.
  • Orientation of new students.
  • Any other duties assigned by the University Management.

STUDENT COUNSELORNAKURU TOWN CAMPUS 2/3/18/5

  1. Must have a Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling/Psychology from a recognized University.
  2. Must have at least five (5) years experience in Administration of Student Affairs.

Reporting to the Dean of Students

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and develop a comprehensive counseling Programme.
  • Providing individual and group counseling services to meet the development, preventive and remedial needs of students.
  • Undertaking comprehensive assessments of students’ psychological and social needs.
  • Counseling students on HIV/Aids and participating in HIV/Aids related activities.
  • Developing an effective delivery, review and evaluation of student counseling program.
  • Consulting with students, parents, staff and community to assist in meeting the needs of students.
  • Co-coordinating all counseling services to students.
  • Participate in student appraisal for purpose of education placement of students by using appropriate educational assessment strategy.
  • Accurately interpreting test results and other student data or report(s)
  • Maintaining an up-to date data or information of students’ progress report.
  • Counseling of staff members and participating in development of other staff wellness programmes.
  • Perform any other duty assigned by University Authority.

 

NURSING OFFICER- DEPARTMENT OF MEDICAL CENTRE-2/3/18/6

 Applicant should meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
  • Registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya.
  • Be in possession of current and valid practice license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
  • Must have at least five (5) years working experience.

 Reporting to Senior Medical Officer

Job Profile

  • Provide Nursing care to patients.
  • Ensure availability of supplies and equivalent and provide support and Health education to patients.
  • Provide counseling and health education to patients.
  • Perform any other duty assigned by Senior Medical Officer or University Authority.

 

TEACHING POSITIONS QUALIFICATIONS

Lecturer – Ref.   2/3/18/1

For appointment into this position, applicants should:

  1. Hold a PhD Degree or its academic equivalent in the relevant field
  2. Hold a Masters Degree in the relevant field with at least three (3) years of University teaching as an Assistant Lecturer and continued research as evidenced by at least two (2) publications in refereed journals(s) in the relevant area.

Senior Lecturer – Ref.   2/3/18/2

For appointment into this position, applicants should:

  1. Hold a PhD Degree or its academic equivalent in the relevant field with at least three years of teaching experience as a lecturer at university level and continued research as evidenced by at least three publications in refereed journals.
  2. Hold a Masters Degree in the relevant field with at least five (5) years of University teaching as a Lecturer and continued research as evidenced by at least five (5) publications in refereed journals(s) in the relevant area.

Laboratory Technicians (School of pharmacy) – Ref.   2/3/18/3

For appointment into this position, applicants should:

  • Hold a Bachelor Degree / Diploma Certificate or its academic equivalent in the relevant field.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum secondary School certificate.
  • Level one coaching certificate by a recognized body in the area of sport of interest.
  • Demonstrate current technical proficiency.
  • Three (3) or more years coaching experience in university setting or division 2 clubs.
  • Demonstrate commitment in Christian faith.
  • Demonstrate ability to work with University students.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in first aid skills will be an added advantage.
  • Must be available for at least three sessions in a week.

 

REMUNERATION AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Appointments to the above positions will be on permanent and pensionable terms for teaching position, following a satisfactory probation period of six (6) months. Appointments to the above administrative position will be on three year contract. A competitive compensation package will be offered to successful candidates. In addition to teaching and academic management, successful candidates for the teaching positions would be expected to drive research, consultancy and outreach. They are also expected to provide inspired and innovatory subject leadership and mentorship to students.
