About the Competition
The East African Community Moot Court Competition is an inaugural competition organized by Kabarak Law School through the Centre for Jurisprudence and Constitutional Studies. University teams from within the East African Community are invited to argue a hypothetical case before a court, both as applicants and respondents.
It aims at enhancing interest in and fostering a better and profound understanding of East African Community and Regional Integration Law. The students will get to dissect both complex substantive and procedural issues in East African Community and Regional Integration Law.
The inaugural competition will be held alongside the 3rd Kabarak Law International Conference on East African Community and Regional Integration Law on the 23rd and 24th of September 2020 at the Kabarak University School of Law.
- To engender participation and enhance knowledge of students on EAC
- To provide a platform for the examination of the status of integration process under the EAC by looking at the key pillars as set out in the EAC Treaty.
- To discuss the place of integration within the EAC in the broader subcontinental and continental stage.
