Dr. Fiona Chepkoech Maiyo, PhD in Biochemistry from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, is a lecturer in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at Kabarak University. Specializing in nanotherapeutics, gene therapy, and phytochemistry, she has published extensively in high-impact journals, notably in gene delivery using selenium nanoparticles. Dr. Maiyo has secured multiple research grants, including a current project on 'green synthesis of metal nanoparticles and evaluation of their antimicrobial activity'. She is a respected presenter at national and international conferences and is dedicated to mentoring students in molecular biology, medical biochemistry, clinical chemistry, and cell biology.
