Duties and Responsibilities.

  • Survey of records.
  • Appraisal of records.
  • Offering reference services to researchers.
  • Labeling of information materials and arranging them.
  • Processing records.
  • Retrieval of archival records to creating agencies and researchers.
  • Boxing of Archival materials.

June 2013 to date: Library Assistant Circulation Services

Duties and responsibilities.

  • Receiving and managing overdue fines on daily basis.
  • Assisting in the registration of new users.
  • Issuing of processed library user cards (except where combined with university ID)
  • Tidying up of the circulation desk and reserve shelf.
  • Ensuring that all forms are readily available for use at the circulation counter and availing them to the users when needed.
  • Replacing old/filled up date due slips.
  • Facilitating the circulation of items (loans, return, bookings, renewals etc.)
  • Answering basic user queries or referring the users to the relevant sections.
