Boresha Sacco has reaffirmed its commitment to innovation and youth empowerment by extending financial support to Kabarak University's "Save the Sicklers" team. The team will represent Kenya at the Hult Prize Global Finals in Astana, Kazakhstan.

During a visit to Kabarak University this afternoon, Boresha Sacco Treasurer and Board Member, Mr. Henry Limo, along with CEO Mr. Jacob Mengich and other Sacco officials, presented a cheque to the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry Kiplangat. The presentation, held in the VC’s boardroom, underscored Boresha Sacco’s dedication to supporting transformative ideas with global impact. This financial assistance will cover the team’s travel and competition expenses, ensuring their groundbreaking project, ThermoSoothe, reaches the international stage.

Prof. Henry Kiplangat expressed gratitude on behalf of the university, commending Boresha Sacco for its generosity and partnership in advancing youth-driven innovation. The Save the Sicklers team, led by Bahati Innocent, has developed ThermoSoothe. This innovative device combines thermal massage and air pressure technology to alleviate the pain associated with sickle cell disease. Their project exemplifies the power of creativity and collaboration in addressing real-world challenges.
