Kabarak University was founded in October 2002 by the Second President of Kenya, His Excellency the Late Hon. Daniel T. Arap Moi.
The University emerged from his visionary idea of establishing a Christian university that would meet the demand for higher education in Kenya while offering quality education founded on strong moral principles.
His Excellency also served as Chancellor of Kabarak University until his demise on 4 February 2020.
He is remembered as a great and selfless leader who devoted his life and resources to the wellbeing of humanity. His contribution to Kenya's education sector remains immeasurable. Through his direct involvement in the establishment and development of Kabarak University and other leading institutions, his vision continues to influence generations.
