Research Conferences

In the pursuit of knowledge and societal development, Kabarak University is committed to ethical research, creativity, and academic publishing that advances knowledge and benefits humanity. Since 2011, the university has been organising major international conferences on relevant themes that bring together scholars, practitioners, and students to share their research findings and exchange their work. In the early years, the university held a multi-disciplinary annual conference but with the creation of the Directorate of Research, Innovation, and Outreach, several other disciplinary conferences have since been held within the university. The increase in the number of schools necessitated the creation of more disciplinary conferences that suit the various scholars in different fields of study.

We believe these conferences provide a great platform for our faculty, staff, and students to be exposed to the latest studies and ideas in their areas. Conferences are an invaluable resource to academics beyond conference presentations.

They provide a platform for interacting with experts in the field, gaining valuable advice and mentorship for postgraduate students, starting collaborations for papers or projects, and advancing careers. Today, the Directorate coordinates a total of thirteen conferences that are hosted by the various schools and departments within the university. These conferences are spread across the year and attract quality papers for presentations.

Editorial and Publication

Kabarak University is keen on building the capacity of its faculty members to be actively involved in scholarly research and creative works that include publications in peer-reviewed journals and academic conference presentations. The University provides platforms for disseminating and publishing research findings through conferences and publications. We commit to creating and sharing knowledge through several interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary journals including:

  1. Kabarak Journal of Research and Innovation (KJRI)
  2. Kabarak Journal of Law and Ethics (KJLE)
  3. Kabarak Law Review (KLR)
  4. Kabarak Journal of Medical, Pharmaceutical & Allied Sciences (KJMPS)
  5. Journal of Commercial Law (JCL)
  6. Journal of Information Systems in Eastern Africa (JISEA)
  7. East African Community Law Journal (EACLJ)

The journals publish scientific information from scholars who want to disseminate and advance knowledge in their research interests. All the articles published are peer-reviewed to meet international quality standards. We welcome and acknowledge articles of original scientific research work from researchers, academicians, professionals, practitioners, and students from all over the world.

Our Moral Code

As members of Kabarak University family, we purpose at all times and in all places, to set apart in one’s heart, Jesus as Lord. (1 Peter 3:15)
