Message from the Dean
There is so much more to pharmacy than dispensing medicine as the career of a modern day pharmacist continues to evolve.
Pharmacists play an important role in the health workforce in providing access to medication, optimizing use of medicines and ensuring the quality of medicine is consistently high. Pharmaceutical services, or value added services, are pharmacy requirements in the 21st Century.
A profession today is defined by more than its ability to deliver facts and knowledge on demand. That is why at Kabarak School of Pharmacy we endeavour to offer high quality education and training that will prepare skilled, ethical and professional experts in the field of Pharmacy, experts who can apply knowledge using behaviours and cultural aspirations that reflect the modern patient’s expectations and needs and most of all uphold the Christian values imparted in them in the course of their study.
To produce these seasoned professionals, the School of Pharmacy has adopted a four-way engagement approach of training that involves the: student, the educator, the practitioner and patient. This approach aligns academic, scientific and theoretical knowledge with practical expertise.
I therefore wish to welcome all interested students who are looking to start a career in pharmacy or even seeking to advance their already existing knowledge in pharmaceutics to the next level, look no further but the Kabarak University School of Pharmacy where we will equip you with the necessary skills that will enable you deliver effective health care and enhance your position within healthcare systems both nationally and internationally.
