Department of Clinical Pharmacy & Pharmacology

The Department of Clinical Pharmacy & Pharmacology under the Kabarak University School of Pharmacy is a dynamic and integral part of the University’s academic and research framework. The department is dedicated to advancing the understanding of drug actions, therapeutic applications, and patient-centered pharmaceutical care. It focuses on equipping students with the scientific knowledge and clinical competencies required to promote safe, effective, and rational use of medicines in diverse healthcare settings.

The department plays a pivotal role in strengthening teaching, research, and professional practice in clinical pharmacy and pharmacology. It emphasizes the study of drug mechanisms of action, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, adverse drug reactions, drug interactions, and individualized patient therapy. Through evidence-based practice and interdisciplinary collaboration, students are trained to optimize medication therapy outcomes and enhance patient safety.

In addition, the department promotes research and innovation in drug development, therapeutic monitoring, pharmacovigilance, and the evaluation of both conventional and natural therapeutic agents. Guided by principles of ethical practice and community engagement, the Department of Clinical Pharmacy & Pharmacology contributes meaningfully to improved healthcare delivery, advancement of pharmaceutical sciences, and the development of competent, compassionate pharmacy professionals.
