WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the School of Medicine and Health Sciences at Kabarak University, a vibrant academic community committed to developing competent, compassionate, ethical, and innovative health professionals.
Our School brings together six departments: Nursing, Clinical Medicine, Family Medicine, Public Health, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, and Biomedical Sciences. This multidisciplinary environment provides rich opportunities for interprofessional learning, research, innovation, and collaboration, reflecting the teamwork that is essential to effective healthcare.
As healthcare continues to evolve through advances in science, technology, digital health, and artificial intelligence, our responsibility is to prepare graduates who can respond effectively to both current and emerging health challenges. Our education therefore extends beyond the classroom to clinical and community settings, where students develop practical skills, professional values, and a deeper understanding of the health needs of the populations they will serve.
Through partnerships with healthcare facilities, government agencies, professional bodies, communities, research institutions, and local and international universities, we continue to strengthen education, research, innovation, and service. These collaborations provide valuable opportunities for our students and faculty to contribute meaningfully to improving health outcomes in Kenya and beyond.
