Kabarak University’s School of Pharmacy celebrated a significant milestone today as 84 graduating pharmacists from the Class of 2024 participated in an Oath-taking and Dedication Ceremony at the SAWIA Auditorium. Themed “Pharmacy: The Heart of Healthcare and Drug Manufacturing,” the event reflected the transformative impact of pharmacists on healthcare systems and innovation. Distinguished guests from the pharmaceutical industry, academia, and Kabarak University’s management graced the occasion. Dr. Titus Suge, Dean of the School of Pharmacy, delivered inspiring remarks, while Hon. Fellow Prof. Francis Ndemo, the keynote speaker, emphasized the indispensable role pharmacists play in patient care and advancing health systems.
A highlight of the event was the recognition of outstanding students: Sheila Lenny Amondi was honored as the Best Female Student, and Kisia Roy Floyd as the Best Male Student. Rev. Justus Mutuku, representing the Chancellor, delivered a heartfelt speech, encouraging the graduates to uphold Kabarak’s mission of excellence and ethical practice. Adding to the day’s achievements, Dr. Sarah Vugigi and her co-authors launched their groundbreaking book, “Critical Pharmaceutical Utility Systems,” underscoring the program’s academic and research excellence.
