Kabarak University Scouts Participate in Mazingira Day Celebrations

On October 10th, 2024, Kabarak University Scouts, under the leadership of Scout Captain Boaz Masika Omato, participated in the annual Mazingira Day celebrations held in Nakuru Town East. The event, organized by the Nakuru County Department of Environment, aimed to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote sustainable practices.

The Scouts from Kabarak University played an active role in the event, which was marked by tree-planting exercises, clean-up activities, and engaging panel discussions. The Scouts not only participated in these activities but also joined discussions on green innovations and climate change advocacy.

Scout Captain Boaz Masika Omato emphasized the importance of environmental conservation and the role of young people in ensuring a sustainable future. "It was a great opportunity for us to represent Kabarak University and engage in discussions that shape the future of environmental conservation," he noted. "We are committed to making a positive impact, both at our university and in the community at large."

The Kabarak University Scouts were able to network with green innovators and environmental experts, gaining valuable insights into the latest trends in sustainable practices. Their participation in this event underscores the university's commitment to environmental stewardship and community service.

Kabarak University is proud of the Scouts' involvement in Mazingira Day and looks forward to continuing its efforts to support initiatives that promote environmental sustainability and climate change advocacy.
