The Kabarak Enactus team won USD 400 after emerging the 2nd runner-up during the 3rd Edition of the Bic Education Challenge. The Kabarak University students came up with an innovation dubbed “Solarfil”, a project that fabricates a jiko to reduce the volume of Carbon IV oxide using a solar-powered filter.
The Kabarak Enactus team won USD 400 after emerging the 2nd runner-up during the 3rd Edition of the Bic Education Challenge. The Kabarak University students came up with an innovation dubbed “Solarfil”, a project that fabricates a jiko to reduce the volume of Carbon IV oxide using a solar-powered filter. The innovation aims at addressing the effects of carbon IV oxide on the human respiratory systems. The Kabarak team is preparing to compete with other 33 universities in the 20th Enactus Kenya Expo set for 20th-23rd July 2022. Karabak University is the three-time champion of the awards, they won the challenge in the years 2011, 2013, and 2015. The team represented Kenya in the Enactus World Cup finals in Malaysia, Mexico, and China.
