What happens when a promising idea meets a room full of experts ready to challenge, refine, and strengthen it? For a group of Kabarak University student innovators, it was an opportunity to take their health-focused ideas a step closer to reality.
The students recently showcased their innovations during an interactive session held in collaboration with Afya Ventures and AMREF Health Africa, receiving expert assessment and practical feedback on their projects.
The session brought together young entrepreneurs, innovators and problem-solvers developing solutions aimed at addressing healthcare challenges within their communities. As they presented their ideas, the panel assessed their potential, highlighted areas for improvement and challenged the students to think about how their solutions could work beyond the classroom.
More than an assessment, the engagement gave students valuable exposure to industry perspectives and encouraged them to think about scalability, sustainability and real-world impact.
For the innovators, it was a chance to sharpen their ideas. For Kabarak University, it reflects the importance of creating spaces where creativity, entrepreneurship and practical problem-solving can translate into solutions that improve lives.
Through collaborations with partners such as Afya Ventures and AMREF Health Africa, students are being encouraged to move from innovation to implementation and from ideas to impact.
