Building on the legacy of excellence from the 11th Africa Regional Rounds in April 2024, Kabarak University Law School has once again made history by clinching victory at the 12th Africa Regional Rounds of the 23rd John H Jackson Moot Court Competition, focused on international trade law. This competition was held at Strathmore University, Nairobi, Kenya, from 23rd to 26th April 2025.
A resounding congratulations to our stellar team—Jabez Oyaro, Rita Butitt, Joseph Mungai, and Liberty Mshindi—for their exceptional legal acumen, teamwork, and dedication. Under the expert guidance of their coach, Dr. Harrison Mbori, they secured an impressive trifecta of accolades:
- Best Overall Written Submissions Award
- Best Respondent Memorial Award
- Best Team Award
This triumph earns them a coveted spot in the global rounds in Geneva, Switzerland, where they will compete against the world’s finest law students. We have no doubt they will continue to uphold Kabarak’s prestigious reputation on the international stage.
Special recognition goes to our dedicated alumni and coaching staff, whose mentorship continues to inspire greatness.
This victory follows Kabarak’s remarkable performance at the Wakili wa Watoto Moot Court Competition in March 2025, where our students showcased intellectual rigor and legal mastery, scooping up the Best Team Award and the Best Research Team, further solidifying our standing as a powerhouse among Kenya’s and Africa’s top law schools.
As we celebrate this milestone, we remain committed to nurturing future legal luminaries who lead with excellence and integrity. The future of legal advocacy is bright, and Kabarak is at the forefront!
Proudly Kabarak!
