On Sunday, February 1, 2026, Kabarak University hosted an open evangelistic crusade at the Rafiki Centre, marking a significant moment in the University’s ongoing outreach initiatives. The event was part of efforts to strengthen spiritual formation and engagement on campus and in the surrounding community.
During the week leading up to the crusade, student mission teams conducted evangelism across the University hostels and neighbouring areas, with focused outreach in the Rafiki area. Through personal conversations, prayer, and fellowship, the teams engaged 338 individuals, providing opportunities for spiritual reflection and encouragement. These engagements resulted in 28 new salvations and 38 recommitments to Christ, reflecting the impact of consistent, student-led outreach efforts.

The open crusade drew a large multitude, bringing together students, local community members, and representatives from the University’s Spiritual Affairs Department. During the event, the Acting Provost, Rev. Justus Mutuku, delivered a timely message on the theme of “Getting Ready.” He emphasized the importance of intentional preparation in everyday life and spiritual readiness for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. His message encouraged participants to live purposefully, remain faithful, and align daily actions with Christian values and eternal hope.
The crusade also highlighted the strong collaboration between students and the University’s spiritual leadership, demonstrating the role of faith-based engagement in nurturing holistic development.
