Kabarak University's commitment to holistic student development was further exemplified yesterday with the commissioning of its newly elected Christian Union (KUCU) leadership. The ceremony, held at the Convocation Hall, recognized the vital role the CU plays in the spiritual life of the campus. The service emphasized the importance of servant leadership and the dedication required to nurture the faith community within the university.
The newly commissioned CU leadership team is comprised of dedicated individuals committed to serving their fellow students. Leading the team are Chairperson Noel Munyu and Vice Chairperson Joy Muraguri. They are supported by a team of coordinators overseeing a diverse range of ministries essential to the CU's vibrant campus presence. These include Elvis Cheruiyot as Organizing Secretary, Ronnie Kimtai as Treasurer, and Patience Mumbi as Secretary. The spiritual growth of students will be fostered by Fridah Milly Wanjiru as Bible Study Coordinator, and Erastus Njoroge as Real Talk Coordinator. Worship and fellowship will be enriched by Jerry Ayimba as Praise and Worship Coordinator, Aela Wambui as Assistant Praise and Worship Coordinator, Njogu Wangari as Missions Coordinator, and Aubrey Fwaru as Assistant Missions Coordinator. The team also includes coordinators for essential support roles: Meekson Juma as Ushering Coordinator, Claire Kipruto as Hospitality Coordinator, Ann Kiama as Creative Ministry Coordinator, Miriam Chepkemoi as Intercessory Coordinator, Elvis Kirui as Sound Ministry Coordinator, Philip Ndege as Assistant Sound Ministry Coordinator, Adrian Anyembe as ICT Coordinator, and Caroline Wachera as Student Discipleship Coordinator. Kipngetich Theophilus will serve as the Chairperson for the City Campus CU, ensuring that the spiritual needs of students at that location are also met.
