We hosted a delegation from I&M Bank Kenya for a courtesy visit aimed at exploring potential areas of strategic collaboration. The meeting brought together members of the University Management and the I&M Bank delegation to discuss partnerships that could support the University’s institutional growth and financial sustainability.
The delegation was warmly received on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry Kiplangat, by Prof. Ronald Chepkilot, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration & Finance), alongside other members of the University Management. Discussions centred on mutually beneficial areas of cooperation, including fee collection solutions, tailored financial products, staff and student banking services, student internship opportunities, and support for institutional development initiatives.
The meeting also featured a proposal to sponsor students through the I&M Bank Foundation, which is committed to creating positive social impact through investment programmes. These initiatives include offering educational scholarships to bright but financially disadvantaged students across Kenya.
The discussions highlighted the importance of strategic financial partnerships in enhancing service delivery, supporting staff welfare, and improving the overall student experience.
In response, the I&M Bank delegation expressed appreciation for Kabarak University’s strong reputation and its significant role in shaping future leaders. They also highlighted the Bank’s interest in developing customised financial solutions that align with the University’s needs and long-term vision.
