Kabarak University Partners with KEFRI and TEAMEnvironment Kenya in a Historic MoU Signing

On Monday, December 16, 2024, Kabarak University hosted a significant meeting to formalize a partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI) and TEAMEnvironment Kenya. The MoU will be implemented in collaboration with the School of Science, Engineering, and Technology.

The meeting, chaired by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Henry Kiplangat, was attended by members of the university's management, Prof. Peter Rugiri, the Dean of the School of Science, Engineering, and Technology, and several staff members from the school. Together with their distinguished guests, the participants held insightful discussions on fostering sustainable environmental initiatives.

This partnership aligns with the vision of the university's founder, the late H.E. Daniel Toroitich arap Moi, Kenya's second president. A passionate environmentalist, H.E. Moi championed tree-planting initiatives that have transformed the university into a lush green campus renowned for its serene environment and fresh air. The MoU marks a renewed commitment to advancing environmental conservation and innovation.
