Kabarak University Signs an Agreement of Mutual Cooperation with Elgeyo Marakwet County

On Friday, 2nd May 2025, Kabarak University and the County Government of Elgeyo Marakwet entered a strategic partnership to enhance academic collaboration and community development. The Vice-Chancellor of Kabarak University, Prof. Henry K. Kiplangat, and the Deputy Governor of Elgeyo Marakwet County, H.E. Prof. Grace Cheserek, officially signed and exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during a brief but significant ceremony.

This partnership paves the way for cooperation in key areas, including student clinical attachments, short professional courses, joint research initiatives, training workshops, and the mutual exchange of academic resources. The MoU underscores a shared commitment to advancing healthcare, education, and research within the region.

Present to witness the signing were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and Research), Prof. John Ochola; the Dean of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Prof. Pamela Kimeto Ting’ei; and senior officials from the Elgeyo Marakwet County Government.

This collaboration reflects Kabarak University's mission to promote impactful partnerships that contribute to national development and the well-being of local communities.
