Kabarak University, School of Business and Economics held an outreach through Nakuru tourism Association during the Naivasha WRC Safari rally tourism and hospitality staff capacity building, training of trainers between 26th and 29th May 2021.
The objective of the outreach was capacity building training for the selected Nakuru county hotels staff in order to enable them train other staff to be more effective in their service delivery during the WRC safari rally 2021 held in Naivasha.The areas for capacity building were; customer relations, hotel etiquette and housekeeping and hygiene among others. A total of 600 trainers of trainers from various hotels in Nakuru County attended the training which was done at Panorama hotel, Naivasha Sub County. The training was undertaken by Kabarak University staff from school of Business and Economics; Mr. Gibson Gitachu (Customer relations), Ms. Rebecca Cheruon (Housekeeping and Hygiene), Ms. Faith Yator (Hotel etiquette).
The WRC commissioning of the trainers was done by Prof. Henry Kiplangat, Vice chancellor, Kabarak University at Lake Naivasha Resort
