Programme Overview
The Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) is designed for graduates who wish to enter the teaching profession. The programme equips learners with pedagogical skills, curriculum implementation strategies, classroom management competencies, and educational leadership foundations aligned with national education standards.
Minimum Admission Requirements
Candidates must fulfil the following:
(a) A relevant Second Class Honours Upper Division Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree from the University, or an equivalent Qualification from other Institutions recognized by the University Senate and CUE; the teaching subjects must be the ones approved by TSC.
OR
(b) A relevant Second Class Honours Lower Division Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree from the University, or an equivalent Qualification from other Institutions recognized by the University Senate and CUE, with at least two years of relevant practical experience after graduation.
The teaching subjects must align with the TSC-approved teaching subjects and requirements.
