KUSSA holds Blockchain Training Event

The Kabarak University School of Science Engineering and Technology Association (KUSSA) recently hosted the Internet Computer Organization (internetcomputer.org) for an exciting blockchain and state machine replication introduction event. The event attracted many eager students who were ready to learn about ICP and its revolutionary potential in the tech industry.

The event kicked off with a comprehensive introduction to ICP, laying a solid foundation for beginners and those with prior knowledge of blockchain. The technical facilitator, Steve Kimoi, an expert in the field, provided valuable insights and hands-on guidance, ensuring everyone felt comfortable and ready to engage fully in the learning process.

Following the introduction, KUSSA, in collaboration with ICP, launched a beginner-friendly hackathon designed to immerse participants in practical, real-world applications of ICP. This hackathon is about fostering a community of learners and innovators. Participants were encouraged to collaborate, share ideas, and help one another, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and mutual support. The hackathon winner will be rewarded with KES 50,000.00.

To make the experience even more memorable, ICP provided participants with swag and laptop stickers, adding a fun and personal touch to their learning journey. These tokens of appreciation were well-received and added to the event's excitement.

One of the highlights was the one-on-one interactions between participants and the technical facilitator. This personalized guidance was instrumental in helping attendees set up their development environments, troubleshoot issues, and gain the confidence needed to continue exploring ICP beyond the event. The event concluded with a sense of achievement and a newfound passion for blockchain technology among the participants.
