The Kabarak community gathered for a moment of reflection, gratitude, and celebration during the 19th annual Thanksgiving and Prize-Giving Ceremony at Moi High School Kabarak.
The event brought together students, parents, alumni, and members of the wider Kabarak family to celebrate the outstanding performance of the 2025 KCSE candidates and to reflect on the enduring values that continue to shape the institution.
The ceremony featured remarks from our Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry Kiptiony Kiplangat, PhD, MBS, OGW, who also serves as the Executive Director of Moi High School Kabarak. He addressed the congregation before inviting the Chief Guest, Raymond Kipruto Moi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, to deliver his address. Gideon K. Moi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, was also represented at the ceremony.

In his remarks, Prof. Kiplangat described the occasion as more than a routine academic ceremony. He noted that the gathering served as a testimony to what can be achieved when clear vision, discipline, and dedication come together, emphasizing that the success of the 2025 KCSE class reflects a culture of excellence that has been nurtured over many years.
The Vice-Chancellor also reflected on the founding vision of Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi, who established the school in 1979 with the belief that education should nurture the whole person, intellectually, morally, socially, and spiritually.
According to Prof. Kiplangat, the school continues to uphold this vision through its strong Christian foundation, commitment to discipline, and emphasis on holistic education.

A key highlight of the Vice-Chancellor’s address was his reflection on the unique co-educational model of the institution. He noted that learning together enables students to develop mutual respect, collaboration, and balanced leadership, qualities that prepare them for real-world engagement.
The outstanding performance of the 2025 candidates, he observed, demonstrates that excellence knows no gender, with both boys and girls achieving remarkable results.
This inclusive environment, he added, has contributed to the school’s long-standing reputation for producing graduates who go on to serve in diverse sectors both locally and internationally.
Prof. Kiplangat also expressed appreciation to the school’s leadership and stakeholders whose collective efforts make such achievements possible.

He commended the Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors for safeguarding the founding vision and providing strategic leadership that continues to strengthen the institution.
Special tribute was also paid to teachers, administrators, and support staff whose dedication, mentorship, and commitment to students have created an environment where excellence thrives. Looking ahead, the Vice-Chancellor highlighted the importance of embracing change within the evolving education landscape.
He noted that the school has taken deliberate steps to align with national curriculum reforms through teacher training, infrastructural adjustments, and investment in digital learning resources, ensuring students remain well-prepared for the demands of the 21st century.
At the same time, he called for continued collaboration among education stakeholders to address the broader challenges associated with systemic reforms in the sector.

A highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of awards, recognizing outstanding performance among: Continuing Students, 2025 KCSE Candidates, Alumni, Class Teachers, and Chief Principal’s Awards
These recognitions celebrated not only academic achievement but also leadership, discipline, and service within the school community.
As the ceremony concluded, Prof. Kiplangat encouraged students to remain anchored in the values that define the institution: faith, discipline, diligence, and service.
He reminded the gathering that excellence is not a single moment but a habit cultivated daily through dedication and commitment to purpose.
For the Kabarak family, the Thanksgiving ceremony served as a powerful reminder that the legacy of Moi High School Kabarak continues to grow, guided by vision, strengthened by community, and inspired by faith.
