Kabarak University proudly celebrates the inspiring journey of Rev. Zedekia Olunga Arwa, a Bachelor of Theology graduate from the #ClassOf2012 under the School of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, whose ministry continues to reflect faithful service and transformative leadership.
Since completing his studies, Rev. Arwa has served diligently within the Kenya Mennonite Church, holding several key leadership roles. Among them, he has served as National Director of Mission and currently serves as Secretary General of the Church, providing strategic, administrative, and spiritual leadership at the national level.
In recognition of his commitment, humility, and dedication to God’s work, Rev. Arwa has been called to serve as Bishop of the Kenya Mennonite Church Lakeside Diocese. His consecration is scheduled for 7 March 2026, marking a significant milestone in his lifelong journey of faith and service.
Reflecting on his calling, Bishop-Elect Arwa expresses his desire to serve the Lord wholeheartedly, guided by prayer and supported by family, friends, and the wider Christian community.
His journey echoes the words of Isaiah 6:8, “Here am I; send me.” This Scripture captures the spirit of obedience and willingness that has defined his ministry over the years.
On behalf of the University Management Board, the School of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, and the entire Kabarak University community, the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Henry Kiptiony Kiplangat, PhD, MBS, OGW, extends heartfelt congratulations to Rev. Zedekia Olunga Arwa on this remarkable achievement. His journey stands as a powerful testament to the enduring impact of faith-based education and servant leadership.
