Transforming the Future of East African Learning as Ugandan and Rwandan Education Leaders Benchmark at Kabarak University, the Heart of Nakuru City

The reputation of our institution as a center of academic excellence continues to ripple across the East African region. On Saturday, 18th April 2026, we had the distinct pleasure of hosting a high-powered delegation from the National Private Educational Institutions Association of Uganda (NPEIA-UG) and their counterparts from Rwanda. The visiting group, comprised of forty-three national and provincial leaders led by Chairperson Mr. Kirabira Hasadu and CEO Mr. Orikiriza Didas, stopped at our main campus as a primary highlight of their Kenyan tour. This visit was far more than a simple courtesy call; it was a direct result of the interest generated after our university team represented the Vice-Chancellor at Uganda’s National Education Day last year. When excellence is consistent, it naturally attracts those who seek to lead and innovate.

The day served as a vibrant hub for regional exchange, beginning with the delegation's arrival at 7:00 AM after traveling overnight from Kampala. Our guests transitioned from their journey straight into the warmth of our hospitality, participating in a structured program designed to showcase institutional growth. In Sawia Hall, academic deans and the Director of ODeL led presentations that highlighted our cutting-edge programs and digital learning initiatives. These sessions provided a critical platform for sharing knowledge on elevating the quality of private education and promoting cross-border academic standards across the East African landscape.

Following the presentations, the delegation embarked on a guided university tour to experience the environment that keeps us ISO 9001:2015 certified. This experiential tour allowed our visitors to witness firsthand how we blend high-level professional training with a firm moral foundation, governed by our university code, to set apart Jesus as Lord in our hearts. The engagement concluded with a shared lunch, providing a space for informal networking and the strengthening of professional ties between our institutions.

This visit highlighted our growing footprint as a preferred destination for educational benchmarking in Africa. By opening our doors to these esteemed leaders, we are actively shaping the future of regional education. As the delegation departed for Kajiado en route to the KPSA conference in Mombasa, they carried with them the unique blend of innovation, discipline, and commitment to a Biblical perspective that defines our identity. We remain proud to be an institution that doesn't just talk about regional integration but lives it through meaningful partnerships and global standards.
