The Kabarak University football team proved they haven't lost their touch over the break, delivering a masterclass performance in a friendly match against Nakuru City Academy on Thursday evening, January 29th.
Playing under the lights at the Nakuru Athletics Club (NAC), the KABU side displayed tactical maturity and clinical finishing to secure a comfortable 3-0 victory.
While the veterans provided the stability, it was the "New Blood" that stole the spotlight. The match served as a debut for several first-year students, many of whom were integrated into the starting lineup. Their pace, technical skill, and fearlessness on the ball were instrumental in breaking down the Nakuru City Academy defense.
"It’s like they’ve been playing with us for years," noted the team coach. "The talent coming in this year is exceptional, and it’s a great sign for the tournaments ahead."

The victory wasn't just about the three goals; it was a celebration of the KABU spirit. As we settle into the new semester, the Sports Department is looking to expand the roster. We believe there is untapped talent within our lecture halls and hostels.
Whether you are a seasoned striker, a solid defender, or a first-year student looking to represent the university, the team is open to you.
