Excellence in both academics and co-curricular activities was the theme of today’s Chapel Service, which celebrated Kabarak University’s sporting heroes for their recent triumphs.
The highlight of the day was a special Trophy Presentation Ceremony, during which the Vice-Chancellor warmly congratulated the university’s sports teams for their outstanding performance at the recently hosted Kenya Universities Sports Federation (KUSF) Rift Valley Region Indoor Games.
The Vice-Chancellor commended the athletes for their hard work, teamwork, and discipline, noting that hosting the tournament was a tremendous success for Kabarak University, providing a platform for students to showcase remarkable skill, sportsmanship, and determination.
Kabarak University celebrated an impressive medal haul, clinching Position One in:
- Chess (Women)
- Badminton (Men)
- Karate (Men) — in both the Kata and Kumite categories
Adding to the success, the Badminton (Women) and Table Tennis (Men) teams emerged as First Runners-Up, while Kabarak University secured Second Runners-Up positions in Chess (Men) and Scrabble (Women).
In his closing remarks, the Vice-Chancellor affirmed that these remarkable achievements reflect Kabarak University’s holistic approach to student development ,nurturing not only academic excellence but also exceptional talent in sports and other co-curricular engagements.
