Kabarak University was among the invited institutions that participated in the Egerton University Alumni Association Football Tournament, hosted at Egerton University on 28th March 2026. The event brought together alumni, staff teams, and partner institutions for a day that blended sport, connection, and shared experience.
Kabarak’s men’s team put in a composed performance across their matches. They held Wazito FC to a 0-0 draw in a disciplined display before battling to a 1-1 draw against the hosts, Egerton University. It was a performance built on structure, patience, and moments of sharp attacking play.
The standout moment for Kabarak came from the women’s team. In their only fixture of the day, they delivered a confident and commanding 4-0 win over the Egerton women’s side. Clinical in front of the goal and solid at the back, they made their intentions clear early in the match. That single game was enough to crown them tournament champions, earning them the trophy in style.

There was a light moment among supporters who joked that the women’s team needed just one game to settle the matter. On a day focused on connection and friendly competition, the result drew smiles as much as applause.
The tournament, themed Career Mentorship and Building Social Networks, created space for engagement beyond the pitch. It reflected the shared commitment by both institutions to nurture relationships that extend past the classroom.
Kabarak University appreciates the invitation and warm hospitality extended by Egerton University. The experience added to a growing culture of collaboration, and the performances on the field were a proud reflection of the university’s all-around development.
