As universities and innovation centres generate increasing numbers of innovations, there is a growing need for effective systems to monitor how individual innovations progress. Dennis Wanjuje identified this institutional and ecosystem challenge and developed InnoTrack (Innovation Tracking).

InnoTrack is designed to provide a structured mechanism for tracking innovations across their development journey-from ideation and incubation to prototype development, validation, intellectual property protection, commercialization and impact.

The innovation has potential value for universities, incubation centres and other organizations managing innovation portfolios. By making innovation progress visible and measurable, InnoTrack can support monitoring and evaluation, decision-making and identification of innovators requiring additional support.
