Free Medical Camp 2017

Kabarak University today held a mega medical camp.  The event, was organized by the Corporate Communication and Marketing Department in collaboration with School of Medicine and Health Sciences, School of Pharmacy  Lions club of Nakuru, Radio AmaniLions sight first eye hospital-Loresho , Diabetes Kenya, Regional Blood transfusion center Nakuru, Kabarak Medical Centre and Cosmos Pharmaceuticals.

The camp being one of its kinds and the biggest ever held in the institution was dubbed #touching lives. The event attracted beneficiaries from Mogotio, Rafiki, Kampi ya Moto, Menengai, Rongai, Muserechi and Kabarak environs.

The camp was officially opened by the Vice Chancellor–Prof Henry K Kiplangat. Some of the services offered in the camp were: Blood pressure , Blood Sugar, Weight and BMI screening, ENT check-ups, Dental checks, Hypertension and Nutrition Counseling.

Over 1000 people benefited from the initiative, 30 eye patients were diagnosed with cataracts and 19 had successful surgeries.
