Kabarak University School of Pharmacy City walk to honor World Pharmacy Day

World Pharmacists Day on September 25 is a celebration of every pharmacist, pharmaceutical scientist, and others who are part of this field. Kabarak University School of Pharmacy led by Dr. Titus Suge was joined by the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya for a walk from Railways to Westside mall in Nakuru Town to commemorate this day.

The celebration of this day brought together both the students and pharmaceutical bodies with an objective of learning more about the new developments in pharmacy practice and achieving the vision of patient-centered care for a healthier world under the theme of pharmacists united for a healthier world.

In her speech, Dr. Jill Mutua, the Chairperson North rift branch Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya emphasized the importance of pharmacists in ensuring the safe prescribing and dispensing of medication to patients as a core function of a pharmacist. Urged the pharmacists to ensure that patients not only get the correct medication and dosing but that they have the guidance they need to use the medication safely and effectively

According to the World Health Organization, the number of licensed people engaged in this profession around the globe is increasing rapidly. World Pharmacists Day is thus not only a welcome event, but it is also a crucial holiday to honor the role these guys play in improving global health outcomes. The day is marked by events and activities sponsored by various governmental and non-governmental organizations. Globally, they all have one common goal to increase awareness about pharmacists and their roles.

Kabarak university sends hearty wishes to all the pharmacists as they celebrate this day and gloat about the competitive pharmacist it produces to the industry, who over time have brought glory to this institution by performing exemplary well with Christian values in their execution of duties in the workspaces.
