KUSO 2022/2023 Election Results

Kabarak University recently held its Kabarak University Student Organization (KUSO) elections online using Kabarak’s innovative e-vote system. The elections were held smoothly with the assistance of the commissioners at Kabarak University Online (Kabuo). The results of the elections were announced at 4 PM by the chairman of the Kabarak University Electoral Commission, Dr. Kagia.

The successful KUSO Directors-elect for 2022/2023 is as follows. At the Nakuru City Campus, Japheth Brian Omari was elected as the Director of Sports, Social Affairs, Recreation, and Clubs for males. Deborah Chemutai was elected as the Director of Sports, Social Affairs, Recreation, and Clubs for Female. Juma Eugene was elected as the Director of Academic and Library Affairs and Jefharisson Adung’o Okisegere was elected as the Director of Spiritual Affairs.

At the Main Campus, Victor Kiplimo was elected as the Director of Library and Academic Affairs, Oyoo Beryl Achieng was elected as the Director of Sports and Recreation for Female, Karen Cheptoo was elected as the Director of Hostel and Campus Security for Ladies, and Nicolas Ayiaki Tardoi was elected as the Director of Spiritual Affairs. Andiaka Denis was elected as the Director of Sports and Recreation for Male, Bett Alvin Kimutai was elected as the Director of Non-Resident, and Linus Anyega Moreka was elected as the Director of Hostel and Campus Security for Male.

Gibson Kipruto was elected as the Director of Clubs, Association, and Societies, Chilai Ianson Nyongesa was elected as the Director of Catering and Health Services, Edmalvin Waiguru Waithira was elected as the Director of Social Affairs for Male, and Sylvia Gati was elected as the Director of Social Affairs for Female.

The following students were elected to be members of the KUSO executive: Karen Cheptoo as Chairperson, Juma Eugene as Vice-chairperson, Linus Moreka as Secretary General, Gibson Kipruto as Assistant Secretary General, and Sylvia Gati as Treasurer.

The President-Elect gave a congratulatory message to the Kabarak Fraternity for believing in her and giving her the chance to be the Kabarak President and lead the KUSO 2022-2023, team.

In conclusion, the Kabarak University Student Organization elections ran smoothly and efficiently with the help of the innovative e-vote system. The students elected are a talented and capable group who will work together to lead the student body in the upcoming academic year.
