Nakuru City Campus and KABU TVET Institute Annual Staff Team Building: A Day of Thriving Amid Challenges at Lake Nakuru

The Kabarak University Nakuru City Campus and KABU TVET Institute held their highly anticipated annual staff team-building event at the breathtaking Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge, nestled on the shores of Lake Nakuru. This idyllic setting provided the backdrop for a day of camaraderie, laughter, and reflection on how to survive and thrive in an environment marked by interruptions and violations. The event was graced by the esteemed Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry Kiplangat, who delivered an inspiring address.

In his opening speech, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Henry Kiplangat set the tone for the day's activities by emphasizing the importance of surviving and thriving in a uniquely challenging environment. He spoke about the ever-evolving nature of the academic and professional landscape, which is often defined by unexpected interruptions and violations of routine. Prof. Kiplangat urged the staff members to embrace change, adapt swiftly, and maintain resilience in the face of adversity.

Eager to put the Vice-Chancellor's words into action, the staff members engaged in a series of team-building activities that promoted unity, communication, and problem-solving skills. Laughter echoed through the air as colleagues collaborated in games, trust-building exercises, and problem-solving challenges. These activities not only fostered stronger bonds among staff members but also highlighted the importance of teamwork in overcoming obstacles.

After a morning of engaging activities, the staff members were treated to a delectable spread of sumptuous meals at the lodge's dining facilities. The culinary delights ranged from local Kenyan dishes to international cuisine, ensuring that everyone's taste buds were thoroughly satisfied. Mealtime discussions provided an opportunity for staff members to share ideas, experiences, and insights, further strengthening their connections.

As the sun began to dip below the horizon, the event reached its climax with a heartwarming cake-cutting ceremony. The cake, adorned with the Nakuru City Campus and KABU TVET Institute logos, symbolized unity and shared goals. This sweet moment brought the staff members together in celebration, and they left with a sense of accomplishment and renewed enthusiasm for their roles within the campus.
