Empowering the Next Generation: Celebrating a Decade of HR Excellence with Kabarak University

July marks a significant milestone for the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) as they celebrate Human Resource Month along with the 10th anniversary of the enactment of the Human Resource Management Professionals Act, Number 52 of 2012. To commemorate this momentous occasion, IHRM has partnered with Kabarak University, Egerton University, St. Paul's University, and Mount Kenya University for a career talk aimed at empowering and encouraging aspiring human resource professionals. The event aims to recognize, appreciate, and raise awareness of the vital role played by HR professionals in the success of organizations.

To mark the 10th anniversary of the Human Resource Management Professionals Act, IHRM chose Kabarak University's town campus as the venue for the special event. Kabarak University, known for its commitment to academic excellence and producing well-rounded graduates, was the perfect setting for this celebration of HR professionals who play a pivotal role in shaping the workforce of the nation.

The event featured a distinguished guest speaker, Madam Florence Odwako, the Administrative and Membership Services Officer at the Federation of Kenya Employers, representing the Rift Valley region. With her vast experience in human resource management and her valuable insights into the industry, Florence's address inspired the audience of students and aspiring HR professionals. Alongside the geust speaker were other HR professionals, including Mr Ngenyik Karanja who also shared on his experience in the HR field.

The career talk aimed to provide the students of Kabarak University and the partnering institutions with valuable insights into the world of human resource management. By sharing knowledge, experiences, and industry trends, the event aspired to empower the next generation of HR leaders to thrive in their careers and contribute significantly to the success of organizations.

As the Institute of Human Resource Management commemorates their Human Resource Month and the 10th anniversary of the HR Management Professionals Act, they remain committed to driving the HR profession forward.
