The Annual Pharmacy Day at Kabarak University, 2022

The School of Pharmacy celebrated the Annual Pharmacy Day on the 8th of July. The event whose culmination was the Gala was preceded by a series of events that included talks and mentorship sessions together with the launch of the second edition of The Druggist- a publication by the Kabarak University Pharmacy Students Association (KUPSA).

Mr. and Miss Pharmacy 2022/2023 were crowned on Friday night which is a first since the introduction of Pharmacy Day, Simon Wachira and Celine Nyangweso took the crown. The event could not have been successful were it not for the dedication and support of the administration and students of the Kabarak School of pharmacy

This year’s theme was peace, love, pharmacy and indeed throughout the day students got to explore the various facets of being a pharmacist, and the challenges, opportunities, and innovations of the pharmaceutical industry. The speakers especially reiterated the need to embrace change and also be open-minded and work hard in order to become the best there is in the field, Dr. Gloria Kigen – Head of supply chain meds, Dr. Elizabeth Itota - Radio-pharmacist and Dr. Victor Achoka – CEO Zen Pharmaceuticals, were indeed an inspiration to our students that are looking forward to joining the job market.
