Kabarak University's 2023 Cultural Week has come to a close, and what a week it was! From Monday, the 20th of March, until Saturday, the 25th of March, Kabarak University was alive with color, music, and dance, as students, staff, and faculty members celebrated their diverse cultures.
The highlight of the Cultural Week was undoubtedly the Gala Ceremony, which took place on the evening of the 25th of March. The event was graced by top gospel artists in Kenya, who gave their all in their outstanding performances. The energy was electric, and the audience was on their feet, dancing and singing along to the music.
However, the 2023 Gala was different from the previous ones, as the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Henry Kiplangat, attended and danced to the performances before he was ushered to the stage musically dancing to the tune the DJ fed him. His presence and participation were a welcome surprise, and he was a great sport, showing off his moves to the delight of the audience.

The crowning of Mr. and Miss Kabarak was the climax of the Gala Ceremony, and it ended in jubilation as Kelio Sharon was crowned as Miss Kabarak 2023, and Austin Itebete (Sir Tebs) was crowned as Mr. Kabarak 2023. The two winners had competed against several other contestants, and the audience erupted in cheers and applause as they were crowned.
