Raising the bar for dispute resolution in Africa, Kabarak University School of Law students have emerged victorious at the recent INADR (The InterNational Academy of Dispute Resolution) All Africa Mediation Tournament.
Our very own Levy Masinde, Claudia Kang’ara, and Dennis Onyango showcased their exceptional negotiation skills, claiming the coveted 1st place in the Top Advocate/Client category. Their talent wasn't limited to advocacy, as the team also secured an impressive 2nd place in the Top Mediator category.
These remarkable achievements are a testament to the dedication of our students and the exceptional coaching provided by Mr. Fred Gordon Ogola. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and the outstanding results at this prestigious competition.
Held between May 16th and 18th, 2024, the INADR All Africa Mediation Tournament marked a significant milestone. Organized by the Online Dispute Resolution Network and the International Academy for Dispute Resolution, it was the first-ever virtual mediation tournament specifically designed for African law students.
The tournament attracted over 30 enthusiastic undergraduate students from across Africa's academic network. Their participation highlighted the growing interest in harnessing technology to facilitate peaceful dispute-resolution processes. This innovative event has undoubtedly redefined the landscape of how we approach conflict resolution in the modern age.
At Kabarak University School of Law, we are committed to equipping our students with the skills and knowledge to excel in the ever-evolving field of law. Victories like this at the INADR All Africa Mediation Tournament are a shining example of the exceptional talent we nurture within our institution.
We celebrate Levy, Claudia, Dennis, and Mr. Ogola for their remarkable achievements, and we look forward to witnessing their continued success as they become the future leaders in dispute resolution across Africa.
