Kabarak University signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Media Council of Kenya (MCK).
The MoU seeks to provide a framework for collaboration between the two institutions to promote and implement mutual interest in expertise and knowledge in various capacities.

The MoU seeks to provide a framework for collaboration between the two institutions to promote and implement mutual interest in expertise and knowledge in various capacities.
The MoU was signed by Prof. Henry Kiplangat (Vice-Chancellor, Kabarak University) and Mr. David Omwoyo (Chief Executive Officer, Media Council of Kenya).
The Vice-Chancellor in his remarks noted that the MoU will enable the University to involve MCK as a stakeholder in the development and review of academic programs in Media studies.
The MoU will provide a framework for the University and MCK to organize students and staff mentorship programs, workshops, and conferences. MCK will consider KABU students for practical attachment and internship programs with MCK.
The MoU will also make provision for MCK to offer grants for Kabarak University students and media trainers to run/file stories on different themes in Kenya.
