EAC Scholarship Programme Phase II – 2026 Intake

Kabarak University wishes to inform prospective postgraduate students and the university community of the upcoming East African Community (EAC) Scholarship Programme – Phase II, 2026 Intake, coordinated by the Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) with support from development partners.

This announcement is issued for awareness purposes only, as applications are not yet open. Detailed application guidelines and timelines will be communicated through official IUCEA channels in due course.

What to Expect

  • Hosting of Master’s students across EAC Partner States
  • Availability of Master’s degree scholarships

Priority Fields of Study

The scholarship programme will prioritize programmes in:

  • Mathematics
  • Informatics
  • Technology
  • Engineering
  • Science
  • Business Science

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants are expected to meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Be a citizen of an EAC Partner State
  • Be 35 years of age or below
  • Hold a Second Class (Upper Division) or Distinction at undergraduate level
  • Be willing to study in an EAC country other than their home country
