KUPPRAC and Kabarak RIO Host Insightful Innovation Policy Discussion

On Friday, Kabarak University Public Policy Research and Analysis Club (KUPPRAC), in collaboration with the Directorate of Research, Innovation, and Outreach (RIO) , hosted an engaging online discussion focused on innovation policies. The event was moderated by Boaz Masika Omato, the Vice Chair of KUPPRAC, who led the session with great insight and professionalism.

The guest speaker, Steve Omwenga, an Innovation Officer and Policy Analyst from the Kenya National Innovation Agency (KeNIA), provided valuable insights into how innovation policies shape the Kenyan innovation ecosystem. He highlighted the critical role KeNIA plays in supporting innovations across the country.

We were also honored to have Ms. Faith J. DentewoMs. Faith J. Dentewo, our Patron and the Coordinator of Outreach and Linkages at RIO, who emphasized the importance of building strong connections between academia, industry, and government to ensure that innovations thrive and contribute to national development.

This event underscored the critical role of policy in shaping the future of innovation and provided students with a unique opportunity to engage with leading experts in the field.

We look forward to hosting more events that inspire meaningful conversations and collaborations in research, policy, and innovation.
