This program equips students with the knowledge and skills to perform diagnostic testing, manage laboratory services, and engage in biomedical research. Core areas include Clinical Chemistry, Hematology and Blood Transfusion Science, Medical Microbiology, Histopathology and Cytopathology, Molecular Diagnostics, and Medical Parasitology. Graduates will be eligible for registration and licensing by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB) and will be qualified to work in hospital & clinical laboratories, research institutions, public health laboratories, blood transfusion services, pharmaceutical & biotechnology companies, food & water testing laboratories, veterinary diagnostic laboratories, environmental and occupational health laboratories, academic institutions, regulatory & standards agencies etc.

Admission Requirements:

• KCSE Mean grade of C+ (Plus) or equivalent.
• C+ in Biology, Chemistry, and either Mathematics or Physics.
• C+ in English or Kiswahili.
• Diploma holders in Medical Laboratory Sciences from a KMLTTB-recognized institution, who are registered and licensed by KMLTTB.
