Knowledge transfer and book donation at Baringo Bible College, Kabarnet

Kabarak University, School of Education, Humanities, and Social Sciences (Department of Theology & Biblical Studies) on 5th July 2022 visited Baringo Bible college to offer talks on interest areas, strategic ministry areas, and knowledge transfer. The team shared knowledge on the subject they have published. The topics covered four major areas.

  1. Insights from Church’s Response to Pandemics in History surveyed the history of pandemics and how the church responded throughout history while highlighting lessons for the contemporary church
  2. Emerging Trends in Technology and Media: What it Means for Church Ministry highlighted media/online challenges and opportunities for pastors to enhance their ministries.
  3. Mental Health and the Church highlighted the need for church leaders to be sensitive to the growing mental health and hygiene concerns both in church and society
  4. Pastoral Ministry and Emerging Challenges pointed out contextual and existential realities of suffering and pain in light of God’s attributes as omnibenevolent, omnipotent, and omniscient.

The group also donated 68 copies of books acquired through a partnership with Africa Christian Textbooks center, Kenya, to the students, staff, and the library.
