Kabarak University continues to shine on the national stage, securing top honors at the Kenya Economics Students Association (KESA) Summit 2025, held at Multimedia University of Kenya on Thursday, 27th February 2025. The event brought together students from universities across Kenya, each showcasing competitive research, innovations, and academic excellence.

In a highly contested competition featuring some of Kenya’s most outstanding universities, Kabarak University distinguished itself by emerging as the overall winner in the project presentation category. Representing the Kabarak University Business and Economics Students Association (KUBSA), our team showcased the ResQnode Project, an innovative solution that impressed judges and attendees alike. The project was brilliantly presented by Mercy Jemeli, Boaz Omato, Felix Masigwa, Mercy Njeri, and Mitchell Jerop, securing first place in the competition.

Additionally, Kabarak University celebrated yet another milestone as Mary Muthoni was crowned the winner of the Paper Writing Competition, further cementing the university’s reputation for academic excellence and research prowess.

The team was accompanied by two esteemed lecturers, Mr. Luka Kiptui (Head of the Economics Department) and Mr. John Boiywo, whose guidance and mentorship were instrumental in preparing the students for this prestigious event. Also present were KUBSA Chairperson Shuler Achieng and Economics Representative Joshua Munene, who played a crucial role in organizing and supporting the delegation.

This victory is a remarkable achievement for Kabarak University, proving that our students are not only competing at the national level but also leading in innovation, research, and academic excellence. Winning against top universities in Kenya is a testament to the quality of education, mentorship, and commitment to excellence that defines Kabarak University.
