On August 7, 2025, Kabarak University joined other premier institutions at the Sarova Stanley Hotel, Nairobi, for the KCB Bank Joint Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signing Ceremony — a high-level forum aimed at strengthening collaboration between the financial and education sectors.
Representing the University was the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Henry Kiptiony Kiplangat, who participated in the signing of the Joint MoU between KCB Foundation and selected universities. The agreement will see Kabarak University, alongside other institutions, provide entrepreneurship training to KCB-supported entrepreneurs — a move geared toward equipping youth and small business owners with practical, market-driven skills.
Prof. Kiplangat also addressed the gathering on behalf of the Vice-Chancellors of private universities, emphasizing the critical role of academia in driving national transformation through innovation and strategic partnerships.
He was accompanied by Prof. John Ochola, Deputy Vice Chancellor – Academic & Research, and Prof. Patrick Kibati, Dean, School of Business and Economics. The Chief Guest at the event was Principal Secretary for Higher Education and Research, Ms. Beatrice Inyangala. The ceremony also brought together senior executives from KCB Bank Kenya, led by the Group CEO, as well as leadership from the KCB Foundation.
