The curtains have officially closed on the 2026 Annual Staff Seminar and Team Building, and the energy on campus today was nothing short of electric. After two days of deep intellectual engagement and strategic reflection in the auditorium, today, April 30th, saw the Kabarak University family transition from the boardroom to the field for a day dedicated to physical wellness, laughter, and the spirit of togetherness.
Trading formal wear for sneakers and tracksuits, staff from all departments gathered at the University Field to celebrate the culmination of a transformative week. The day was a vibrant reminder that while our individual roles are vital, our collective strength is what defines Kabarak University.

The morning kicked off with high-energy aerobics, Zumba, and dance sessions that set a jubilant tone for the day. This was followed by the 3km Wellness Walk Challenge, led by our Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry K. Kiplangat, PhD, MBS, OGW.

The walk was more than just a physical exercise; it was a "Safari Walk" of connection, allowing colleagues who usually interact via email or official memos to engage in informal fellowship. On the field, the atmosphere was filled with the spirit of competition and camaraderie during team-building games like the Ball Grab, Inside Out, and Birds and Nests, each designed to sharpen our communication and trust.
A cornerstone of this year’s success has been the unwavering support of our valued partners and sponsors. Their presence throughout the three-day event ensured that our staff was supported not just professionally, but holistically.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our lead partners, Liaison Group, who facilitated the team-building activities and provided essential medical check-ups through Liaison Health Care. We also appreciate Octagon Africa for their vital sessions on pension sensitization, and Transnep Insurance Brokers and Britam Insurance for their continued engagement.

Our thanks also go to the over 34 partners who pitched tents at the field, including CIC Group, Madison Group, Old Mutual, APA Insurance, Jubilee Insurance, Minet Kenya, Absa Bank, Standard Chartered, Co-operative Bank, KCB, Equity Bank, Family Bank, Skyline DT Sacco, Stima Sacco, Harambee Sacco, Tower Sacco, Baus Optical, Royal Smiles Dental Clinic, AAR Healthcare, The Nairobi Hospital, Mediheal Group, Bliss Healthcare, Intellisoft, Toyota Kenya (CFAO Motors), Safaricom, Airtel, and Zuku. Your commitment to the well-being of the Kabarak family is truly valued.
The event concluded with an awards ceremony for the winning teams, followed by closing remarks from the Vice-Chancellor. Prof. Kiplangat urged everyone to carry the energy, unity, and "Ownership Mindset" experienced this week back into our daily service.
As we return to our offices and lecture halls, we do so rejuvenated and more united than ever. We are one team, driven by one vision, committed to providing excellence in education with a biblical perspective.
