As KTN marks 35 years of shaping Kenya’s media landscape, Kabarak University joins in celebrating this remarkable milestone, one that reflects resilience, innovation, and storytelling excellence. Over the decades, KTN has not only informed and entertained audiences but has also become a key training ground for some of the country’s finest media professionals, many of whom trace their roots to institutions like Kabarak University.
The dinner celebration, held on Friday evening, 31st October 2025, at Novotel, Westlands, Nairobi, to honor KTN’s 35-year journey, was attended by a team from Kabarak University led by Ag. University Provost, Rev. Justus Mutuku, who represented the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry Kiplangat. He was accompanied by the Corporate Communications and Marketing Manager, Andrew Marangu, the University Webmaster, Peter Inziano, and James Mburu, who represented the School of Music and Media.
The bond between Kabarak University and KTN goes beyond viewership; it is a partnership founded on shared values of truth, creativity, and professionalism. Through internships, alumni placements, collaborative productions, and advertising engagements, the University continues to prepare skilled journalists, producers, digital strategists, and communication specialists who are making their mark in leading newsrooms such as KTN.
