Kabarak University Claims a 23-20 win against Mombasa Pirates in the Rugby National Championship

Mombasa Pirates suffered a defeat in the National Rugby Championship league played at Kabarak University rugby ground on the 17th of December 2022. The Mombasa Pirates were beaten 23-20 by Kabarak University.

The match began on an encouraging note for the Mombasa Pirates who garnered 6 points in the first few minutes of the game and that triggered the subsequent effort for Kabarak university to battle back which saw them take amazing crosses and tries some of which were disallowed by the match officials.

National rugby championships league played at Kabarak University between Kabarak University and Mombasa Pirates on 17/12/2022 where Kabarak University won with 23 against 20.

Kabarak University, in its spirit of being second to none, drove over with multiple conversions with the Mombasa pirates hitting back to secure a win. By the looks of it, Kabarak university was not ready to let hold of the winning idea in their heads.

With unstoppable forward runs, forward passes, unrelenting thwarts, calculated tackles and making the try line, Kabarak university ran all over the field in jubilation as they celebrated the victory against their opponent in a rather highly competitive match.

The greatly deserved win for Kabarak University is the fruit of hard work that was put into the early morning and late evening training, the teamwork that was seen throughout the match was a reflection of Kabarak University’s belief.

In his comments after the match, the coach and the sports officer were grateful to the university management for creating a very conducive environment with immense support and this is an inspiration to the team and a high contributor to every win and many more to come.
