The Center for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DSAI) at Kabarak University participated in the Nairobi AI Forum 2026, held on 9th–10th February 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya. The forum was co-hosted by the Government of Kenya, the Government of Italy, and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in partnership with international development agencies, industry leaders, academic institutions, and innovation hubs.
The forum provided a strategic platform for advancing dialogue on the adoption of Artificial Intelligence in Africa, with an emphasis on responsible AI, capacity building, and the development of sustainable and inclusive AI ecosystems. DSAI’s participation reflected Kabarak University’s commitment to strengthening AI research, promoting data-driven innovation, and developing skills aligned with national and global priorities.

Through engagement in technical sessions and stakeholder interactions, the Center gained critical insights into emerging trends in AI governance, ethical and inclusive AI deployment, and the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in translating research into real-world impact.
